did I tell you that...

-we're night weaning Howie? and that I'm sleeping in the basement while we do [or more accurately Matt does] that? I thought we would do it next week over the holiday weekend, but this week seemed to work out with the change in my work schedule.

-we started on Thursday and I haven't slept clear through either night? It's so unfair that I'm used to waking up at the same times. At least I'm as far away as I can possibly be and can only hear him crying a little. Him being Howie. Matt cries silently to himself.

-we got a carpet remnant and rearranged the basement and it is nearly habitable?
and we moved my work computer down there too? we're making the office upstairs the playroom. We've already moved some toys in there, most notably the train table.

-Matt's fine and not showing any ill effects from the accident? It's amazing what an airbag and seatbelts do at 35 mph.

-we have a rental car? it's the second one we've had and we much prefer the Chevy Impala to the Ford Taurus, but probably wouldn't ever buy either of them.

-they're fixing our car and the other insurance company is paying, but we can't get anything else out of them?

-Farm Bureau is lousy to work with and we are in love with Allstate?

-I spent 1.5 hours waiting to see the crappy dr (H for those familiar) just to have him tell me Howie's rash is eczema and likely showed up this time in reaction to the carpet cleaning chemicals used on the aforementioned remnant?

-Howie gained 4 oz in the last two months. A gain, at least, but I'm all the more certain we won't see that 3 lb goal by December.

Oh, I didn't? Oh, well that's about all I have for an update.

I hope that night weaning Howie goes as painless as possible!

Good luck on the night weaning! Hopefully that all goes smoothly.

Yay for carpet and nearly habitable basements!

Yay for dedicated play rooms!

Glad Matt's well.

Yay for rentals! I don't know that I'd buy one of those two either. Then again, I have too many kids to even think about it.

Sorry 'bout the eczema and the not making a 3lb gain by December.

Yay for a nice update! I was totally thinking of you the other day, wondering how the night weaning/sleeping in the basement was going.

Jealous of your basement. Hell, jealous of your home.

So glad to hear Matt's doing well.

You should rent the car that BC and Char had out here in CA. I heard it was killer at racing people off the line.

Boo to excema. And we gotta figure out a way to get some chubs on that boy! (kelly's got a few rolls she could spare, if you're interested)

good luck on the night weaning! Yay for 4 ozs! How much does he weigh? T is at 24 lbs. now. I'm guessing I would much rather cart Howie around than T!

Free at last, free at last... glad to hear about the night-weaning. Hope it's over soon.

I'm also glad to hear that Allstate is a good company to have when you're in an accident.
