are your ears ringing?
I was reading last week about a new high pitched ringtone that most adults can't hear. It originated in the UK where shop owners would play it to keep teens from loitering. They have turned it around to use their cell phones undetected.I was listening to it trying to see if I could hear it. I didn't have high hopes since my hearing is kind of jacked-up anyway. I had to turn up the speakers, but I could just barely detect it. Matt came upstairs to find out what the noise was. I could hardly hear it sitting in front of the speakers and he heard it clearly all the way in the basement. How about you? Are you old?

I'll try it after I turn off the loud roaring of our portable a/c unit. If the sound is anything like a whining child, I'm pretty sure I can hear it just fine.
Either I'm old and cannot hear or stupid and inept at downloading. Either/or it does not bode well for me.
Don't turn up the speakers unless you are sure you can't hear it...that hurts.
I couldn't hear it, but neither could my kids.
I couldn't hear it, maybe because my speakers don't work!!!!
my speakers are turned pretty far down, and I could hear it. However, S is asleep on me and he didn't so much as flinch. crazy Britts.
ok, now I'm confused.
when I clicked on the link to hear the woman talking, *then* the ring, I couldn't hear a thing. But if I clicked on "download ringtone" I could totally hear it.
YUCK! So don't like the noise
i could hear it easily. tho i've known for quite some time that i can hear really high pitched noises.
I could hear it- but I think it sounded different to me then to my kids. It got there attention from the other room.
So today I can totally hear it. Crazy.
I heard it. I turned on my puter stereo at the level I listen to it when I am blogging, not too loud, and it was painful.
That clinches it. I'm old!
